Plot Summary: Legendary rock band Foo Fighters move into an Encino mansion steeped in grisly rock and roll history to record their much anticipated 10th album.

Poster - Title Card rating: notes: Probably plays better if you're a Foo Fighters fan. Lots of bro "humor" that grated on my nerves, lots of Doritos product placement, lots of wooden acting. It's about 20 minutes too long as is, and really could be a 45 minute short. I actually thought it was over at one point and was surprised when the credits didn't roll. That said, evil Dave Grohl was amusing, I liked the demonic album they were recording, and there's some surprisingly decent gore effects.

"Studio 666" is the kind of broad horror-comedy that could certainly stand to be a little scarier, a little funnier, and more clever overall. But then again, no other horror-comedy stars rock band the Foo Fighters as themselves, which is the main pull for this special Foovie event. It's a lighthearted artistic experiment with a death metal brain, held together for 106 minutes by the amusing sight of seeing rock stars try to act.
